What a great day!

Yesterday was a completely amazing day for me. It wasnt very exciting..and nothing major happened. It was just one of those days where I got a lot accomplished, and at the end of it all, was able to lay inbed and thank the Lord for my blessings. I woke up early, got the kids off to school, was able to fit in some pilates and get back into my routine. I talked to an amazing guy online for a while, who made me laugh..a lot. I was able to go jogging, and jog further then ive jogged in a long time. I studied my Deep Tissue methods for school, got more organized..and feel confident about my Deep Tissue skills. Our teacher, Larry, also gave my class a very high compliment, stating: "Of all the years ive taught at this school, and of all the Deep Tissue students ive had..this class is in my top 5% for being the fastest learning, being able to understand what youre learning, and great body mechanics that dont need correction.." That really made my night! To top it all off, I got to visit with friends, completing what was an awesome day. Wearing a saucy headband, also makes me happy.:0)

Random Thoughts

Its 90 degrees in Huntington Beach, this January. IM ECSTATIC! Ive been so cold the last month or two, and now I feel my happiness returning. Glorious tan, here I come!

We are learning Deep Tissue massage techniques in school this week. I really enjoy it! Its a work out, but its really been a lot of fun. One more tool to put in my belt. hehe.

Im counting down until my trip to Washington this weekend. Im both thrilled and deeply saddened. I have to drop my daughter off for three months, because I share custody. I will miss her terribly, but I know Jason will adore having her. I cant wait to see my friends again, do shoots, and karaoke!!

Im so grateful for Dallas and his providing me with a sanctuary away from home. I try to visit him once a week or so. He has sorta become my new best friend since living down here, and gives me as many man-hugs as I need to make me feel loved. I really am truly grateful for his friendship.

I still want to go camping...It will happen. All I need is a sleeping bag, toilet paper, a few granola bars, and Im good to go. :0P

I really want to see Confessions of a Shopaholic....

I made $40 last saturday doing 2 massages. I had a blast! I cant wait to do this for a living. If anyone wants a massage, catch me now while Im only charging $20 an hour, instead of the usual $60. Limited time only!!

I was told by my friend Steve, that I am the real life Bridget Jones. I got to pondering that statement..and feel he is pretty spot on. Im always trying to lose weight, I am unlucky in love, I put my foot in my mouth a lot, am socially awkward, I only have a few very close friends, and I DO dance my troubles away to Chaka Khan. One day my Mr. Darcy will come, who will love me just as I am.......one day.

I was able to fit into a size 8-10 dress the other day...Granted, it was stretchy, but it didnt look horrible!

In relief society a statement was written on the black board that I felt was outstanding, and puts everything into a nutshell. "We are taught correct principals, so we are free to govern ourselves." I love this because, so many people think we are being told what to do in our religion, and that we have no freedoms to live as we choose. We are even condemned by other people of our faith if we do not live our lives as they feel we should. This statement by Joseph Smith encompasses everything I feel in my heart. Everyone is different..everyone has their own reasons for doing or feeling things. I love that.

I think im going to grow my hair out again...

Next week I can start my jogging routine again, without having to push an umbrella stroller. Im rather excited about this, and look forward to meeting my goal of 30 pounds gone by next year. Wish me luck!

Eric has started up rehearsals for his Easter program, with the Orange County Mormon Choir. Im very excited for him. His piano is getting very impressive as well...Im very proud of him.

Ok thats it for now....TUNE IN NEXT TIME! Im gunna go find a nutritious snack. blah...

The Game Master!

My favorite thing about the holidays is the games! My family is extra competative. So much infact, that we have an actual GAME MASTER HAT! Our usual game is Canasta..but on Christmas Eve, its a moral imperative that we play Trivial Pursuit. I love the Winter holidays and am sad to see them go....

Its about time!!

After being raised around them my entire life...After spending numerous nights camping next to tracks..I was finally taught how to ride a dirt bike yesterday, at age 31. Im a little sore today, and I ruined one shoe thanks to shifting, but it was the best time of my life. I will own one of these...OH YES! I will own one...

Now for something completely random....

The month is almost over! Its been crazy fun, and a little weepy. I have a lot to be thankful for, and a lot on my mind. Here is a taste....

Christmas is over! Wow...that was fast. It was full of games, shopping, and shows. I got socks this year..Yeah, thats it. I love them, tho. Im always cold. My kids got a lot of crap. I miss those days...when I got a lot of crap. We went to Disneyland chrtistmas day, in the rain, and got to see it all lit up and festive. That was cool, (both in the literal sense and in the ooooooh aaaaaw sense.)

I managed not to gain any weight this month.....didnt exactly lose tho, either.

I got plane tickets for Skylar and I. Washington, here we come! Karaoke bars everywhere will be bombarded. I also have two photo shoots lined up with Crystal, which will rock. I'll be doing Film Noir, and Gargoyles. I'll post the pics when they are done.

Ive had the pleasure of meeting new people this month, and getting closer to others. Its been an amazing journey.

Erin has discovered numbers. We cant get her to stop counting to 100..Out loud, or on paper. Its sorta Rain Man-ish.

I got to spoon with my friend Dallas and watch movies...Seems silly to be excited over, but it really gave me warm fuzzies, which ive desperately needed lately. Thanks Dallas!

My room is a perpetual mess. I close my eyes going into it, to keep from crying. haha. I love my kids, but they are monsters.

I found out I have an ovarian cyst. That sucks. Nothing I can do about it, tho.

Scott finally got a job!!! Im so excited I could kiss someone...anyone..no really..any takers?

Ive found myself listening to a lot of mellow 70's music lately, (Emerson Lake and Palmer, Doobie Brothers, Pink Floyd,Bruce Hornsby, Steely Dan..etc..) Its been soothing to my soul. I even have a Dan Fogelberg greatest hits cd...I hide it usually out of shame. I think I need to come outta the closet and scream out 'YES! I LISTEN TO DAN FOGELBERG!' Whew...ok..Now that im embarrassed, I can move on with my life. :0P

Alright, I guess thats all for now. Happy New Year everyone, and lets hope this coming year ROCKS THE CASBAH!
