Family Zoo Day!

My mother bought us a zoo membership to the Santa Ana zoo. Its a tiny zoo not far from Huntington (slightly smaller than Point Defiance in Tacoma,) but it provided my kids with so much entertainment that we couldnt resist. What a fun way to spend the day! Eric and Erin got to ride on an elephant for the first time with their cousins. It was really a fun day for all! I cant wait until Skylar comes home so we can take her as well.

Sadness.....

Yesterday a sign was placed above my favorite bookstore "The Bookman Too." It read Liquidation Sale..Going out of Business. I cant express how sad I am about this. I spent so much time in this bookstore, last year when I first moved here. I read 13 novels. I could browse their shelves all day, given the chance. I never went in with a specific book in mind, but always came out with something great. I never picked the books, the books picked me. With all the internet access and this horrid economy; it was just too much for this little bookstore to compete with. I went and bought my last book yesterday for $5. Its called The Third Witch, and I cant wait to start it. Im deeply put-off by this turn of events, and felt I needed to say how much I will miss The Bookman Too.

~Massage Therapy School~

I'm more than halfway done with my schooling! I cant believe its been almost 7 months since I started. I was so scared to get back to college for something so physically and mentally demanding, but it has completely changed my life. I am so happy with this career field. I am the only one in my class, so far, who has been brave enough to volunteer in the Spa clinic, run by students in higher classes. I have 3 hours logged in so far...and feel totally confident. I have regular customers outside of class, who come to me for Deep Tissue. Getting through my Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology classes have been really difficult..but I still maintain excellent grades (A-B+ average..) Ive learned so much and cant wait to start on my degree program so that I can become a full Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Care Practitioner. Starting in September I will also be a fully licensed Prenatal Massage Therapist. I feel like life has steered me down this course because everything is falling into place and opportunities open up to me all the time. I'm very lucky. This isn't an easy career. It takes a great amount of dedication to the craft..Following years of extended education. I cant wait to continue on this amazing journey and hope that I become very successful. If you're considering this line of work, you wont regret it. Besides, what other college offers you a great massage every night? Ok Im done rambling now...Go get a massage today! ~SUNNY DAYS AHEAD! (in my random world)~

It finally feels like spring time! The sun is gorgeous in its blue sky. I walked my daughter to school instead of driving today..then kept on going to Trader Joes where I picked up some yummy hippy food, (eggplant sammiches, hummus, indian flat bread, avacados, and veggie chips.)All in all, I walked roughly three miles today. I feel rad! Its so nice out, and the forecast shows more sun to come..so I think I'll wash my car, too. As I was walking past the retirement complexes down Florida Street, I noticed a long line of elderly people being checked out to family or friends. Who knew old folks were like library books?

Whats the deal with Dennis Rodman NOT getting kicked off Celebrity Apprentice yet? *shakes head* If Jesse James doesnt win this thing, I'll have lost all faith. He is a creative genius, with a wit that wont quit. Ive never seen a smarter guy on this show. I mean, the guy once made a drivable log slicer out of an old pimped out Zimmer! *genius*

My mother had a minor heart attack last week. She was in the hospital for a few days. She is ok now, but will have to be on heart medication for the rest of her life. She isnt unhealthy..She eats like a bird, and its usually all fruits and vegetables. Ive never seen a woman walk so much in all my life. She loves to be outside. Apparently she has a glitch in her heart, so when her rate increases it continues to increase and wont stop...Very Scary. At one point they had to kill her and bring her back in the ambulance just to reboot her. Needless to say, I was freaked out by that. No, she still cant see dead people..I asked. Lol.

Kasi has moved down to California..Now we just need to get Kylee down here and we'll all be a happy family again....or at least a together family of snarky dork-faces.

Im counting down the days until I see my Skylar Paige again. She will be here in a few weeks! Im ecstatic! I just wanna love on her...

Ok im off to wash my car! Dont be jealous of my sunshine......
