Thoughts...all completely random

Can I just say how much I love Howard Jones of the 80's? Seriously some great tunes, right there...Id also like to extend my love out to Hall and Oats (mad geniuses) and Level 42's "something about you" which has the funnest bass line. I plan to learn this song as soon as I get my own place. Currently my amp is being used as a clothes collector. If you havent guessed, im on an 80's kick this week...

Its almost Valentines day...the most depressing day of the year. I plan to curl up in a blanket and watch horror movies, while buying MYSELF a box of chocolate. Who's with me??

I love my best friend Saras Cleopatra hairdo...Even if it looks like a wig, its still bitchin!! Only she can pull this off....

Last friday I got to spend the day with my friend Aza. We dropped our kids off at kindergarten, got french manicures and pedicures, ate pizza, went shopping at HSS (she bought me two shirts and a toe ring!) Then we picked the kids up from school...It was an amazing day. I havent spent a day like that in....well...never.

Im collecting albums and album frames. Im preparing for when I get my apartment. I want a whole wall of my favorite albums framed and hung up. I think some of the greatest artwork can be found on a 70's album cover. :0)

I have a test in Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and Craniosacral tonight...Im buggin out! I practiced on my parents last saturday for about 2 and a half hours. I made Pops whimper...That was sorta funny, actually...I got him to bend his legs pretty far tho!

I miss Skylar Paige so much!!!

Mashed potatoes for breakfast isnt at all filling...

Im in the mood to read the book "Tarzan of the Apes"...I love classics..

Ok ive been thinking about my friends, and it has occured to me that we all have some particular sayings that have become apart of us. I wanted to share them with you....

Sara- "Yeah bubba!"...."Im callin shenanigans on that!"....
Kasi- "wah wah"....."what-ever!"..."blah blah blah"
Kylee-"Thats amazing!"...."youre a dork"...."Perducci!!"..
Crystal-"Dont be jealous"...
Mom- "holy hannah!"
Dallas- "Hey man"..."thanks man"...."later man"...haha
Wade- "gnome sane?" (know what im sayin?)
Carl- "Pimpin aint easy"..."summoning the powers of pimpin"..basically anything about pimpin. haha
Jeri- "Youre killin me..youre dadgum killin me!"..."what the freak, over?" (like on a CB.) "Dont put that out there in the universe!"..."Thats snarky...".."Thats rad!"

Can you think of any sayings your friends say so much its become apart of their person?

Gargoyles!

Every trip to Washington, involves doing a photo shoot with my girlfriends. We pick a theme, then roll with it! Crystal Ord is the mastermind behind the camera, and photo shop queen. We dont question her, when she comes up with a crazy idea, because we know it will turn out rad!! Our latest shoot was themed Gargoyles. It was 38 degrees outside when we did these in the courtyard of her moms apartment complex. We had an audience, which was fun. haha. Here are a few pics...Still waiting to get a few of the others back, which I will post as Gargoyles, pt 2. Enjoy our goofiness.

Stinker!

Trying to get my son, Eric, to practice piano can be a little distracting sometimes, in the hussle and bussle of a tiny condo filled with people. He is 7 and cartoons rule his life at the moment. I had to share this video of last nights practice..little show-off! Haha. He could be quite good if he would concentrate...

Fire in the Hole....

My life is a Steely Dan song....this sums it up..

I decline
To walk the line
They tell me that I'm lazy
Worldly wise
I realize
That everybody's crazy
A woman's voice reminds me
To serve and not to speak
Am I myself or just another freak

Don't you know
There's fire in the hole
And nothing left to burn
I'd like to run out now
There's nowhere left to turn

With a cough
I shake it off
And work around my yellow stripe
Should I hide
And eat my pride
Or wait until it's good and ripe
My life is boiling over
It's happened once before
I wish someone would open up the door

Don't you know
There's fire in the hole
And nothing left to burn
I'd like to run out now
There's nowhere left to turn

What a great day!

Yesterday was a completely amazing day for me. It wasnt very exciting..and nothing major happened. It was just one of those days where I got a lot accomplished, and at the end of it all, was able to lay inbed and thank the Lord for my blessings. I woke up early, got the kids off to school, was able to fit in some pilates and get back into my routine. I talked to an amazing guy online for a while, who made me laugh..a lot. I was able to go jogging, and jog further then ive jogged in a long time. I studied my Deep Tissue methods for school, got more organized..and feel confident about my Deep Tissue skills. Our teacher, Larry, also gave my class a very high compliment, stating: "Of all the years ive taught at this school, and of all the Deep Tissue students ive had..this class is in my top 5% for being the fastest learning, being able to understand what youre learning, and great body mechanics that dont need correction.." That really made my night! To top it all off, I got to visit with friends, completing what was an awesome day. Wearing a saucy headband, also makes me happy.:0)

Random Thoughts

Its 90 degrees in Huntington Beach, this January. IM ECSTATIC! Ive been so cold the last month or two, and now I feel my happiness returning. Glorious tan, here I come!

We are learning Deep Tissue massage techniques in school this week. I really enjoy it! Its a work out, but its really been a lot of fun. One more tool to put in my belt. hehe.

Im counting down until my trip to Washington this weekend. Im both thrilled and deeply saddened. I have to drop my daughter off for three months, because I share custody. I will miss her terribly, but I know Jason will adore having her. I cant wait to see my friends again, do shoots, and karaoke!!

Im so grateful for Dallas and his providing me with a sanctuary away from home. I try to visit him once a week or so. He has sorta become my new best friend since living down here, and gives me as many man-hugs as I need to make me feel loved. I really am truly grateful for his friendship.

I still want to go camping...It will happen. All I need is a sleeping bag, toilet paper, a few granola bars, and Im good to go. :0P

I really want to see Confessions of a Shopaholic....

I made $40 last saturday doing 2 massages. I had a blast! I cant wait to do this for a living. If anyone wants a massage, catch me now while Im only charging $20 an hour, instead of the usual $60. Limited time only!!

I was told by my friend Steve, that I am the real life Bridget Jones. I got to pondering that statement..and feel he is pretty spot on. Im always trying to lose weight, I am unlucky in love, I put my foot in my mouth a lot, am socially awkward, I only have a few very close friends, and I DO dance my troubles away to Chaka Khan. One day my Mr. Darcy will come, who will love me just as I am.......one day.

I was able to fit into a size 8-10 dress the other day...Granted, it was stretchy, but it didnt look horrible!

In relief society a statement was written on the black board that I felt was outstanding, and puts everything into a nutshell. "We are taught correct principals, so we are free to govern ourselves." I love this because, so many people think we are being told what to do in our religion, and that we have no freedoms to live as we choose. We are even condemned by other people of our faith if we do not live our lives as they feel we should. This statement by Joseph Smith encompasses everything I feel in my heart. Everyone is different..everyone has their own reasons for doing or feeling things. I love that.

I think im going to grow my hair out again...

Next week I can start my jogging routine again, without having to push an umbrella stroller. Im rather excited about this, and look forward to meeting my goal of 30 pounds gone by next year. Wish me luck!

Eric has started up rehearsals for his Easter program, with the Orange County Mormon Choir. Im very excited for him. His piano is getting very impressive as well...Im very proud of him.

Ok thats it for now....TUNE IN NEXT TIME! Im gunna go find a nutritious snack. blah...
