~Valentines day photoshoot~

We FINALLY got our pictures back from the Valentines day photoshoot with Crystal, after a month of waiting. The project was, to pick a hobby that our husbands enjoyed doing, and put a sexy spin on it for his valentines day present. Well I didnt feel it would be fitting to drag a computer infront of a sheet and wear something saucy while World of Warcraft was displayed about the place. So I did his next best thing...music! I donned the Bass guitar and did some awesome poses, but apparently I move to quickly for a stationary tripod camera, and most of my shots are blurry. *sigh*...In all of the other shots she managed to cut off a limb of somesort or part of the guitar. Im a little bit upset about that, but theres nothing I can do now. We did however get a few cute behind the scenes pics..and maybe one or two really saucy shots. At least I have those! Here are the finished pictures....and yes..they are real. Its a $5 Walmart bra, a size too small. HAHAHAHAHA.

~Shutterfly~

Since our last computer crash scare many months ago, I've taken it upon myself to make picture albums on shutterfly.com of each member of my family, using only the best pics, as well as any theme party pics I might care to save as well. I have become passionate in doing this, and i'm pleased to say that I have everything organized properly and zero fears of losing my precious memories. Whats more, I've become exceedingly addicted to making photobooks for my children. I had no idea you could do such a thing, but for a small price, this site will create an actual book of memories for you, complete with hardback cover made from leather, suede, or cloth, and gorgeous layouts/backgrounds to choose from. Jason and I have decided that we will make one a year for each child and present it at their birthday as sort of their "year in review." I just recieved Erins in the mail and couldnt be more pleased with how well it turned out. So if you grow wearing of printing up pictures, and hate to find the time to scrapbook, or shove them in an album, consider making a photobook online. Its so much fun to do and the product is stunning. Your child will love to have his or her very own book about just them. I cant wait to make more!

Grateful is......

Its Thankful Thursday! Or at least thats what im calling it from now on. Teehee. This week has been bad...but its also been very good to me as well. We've had fiascos, but thanks to a righteous tax return, Jason said I could get a few things that Ive been needing lately, which makes things much more tolerable. Like a few pencil skirts for church, a new pair of heels, and a whole slue of new Besame cosmetics for playing in. I've also managed to clean out my cluttered closet so that its gorgeous again.:0P Im looking forward to the Valentines dance tomorrow night at church with Jason. Its been a wacky week!

Today I am grateful for:

Visiting Teachers
Shopping!
A clean house..I actually have one today!
A good jossle (haha)
Long lasting friendships
A clean closet!!
Fuzzy socks
Photo Albums
Vintage clothing

This is why moms wear ponytails.....

Today I decided to actually do my hair and put on make-up..I was feeling in a "pretty mood." Eric stayed home from school today because he was "not feeling well", so I warned him that sick boys stay inbed ALL DAY, and dont get up to play. He said he understood so I let him stay home. As I was in the bathroom curling my hair and putting on as much make-up as possible (I never usually wear any,) I notice its awful quiet. I thought maybe Eric was napping and Skylar was watching cartoons. I could not have been more wrong. Hiding on the other side of their bunk beds very stealthy-like, were my oldest and youngest...playing with my husbands never before opened Star Wars collection. Boxes and plastic were strewn all over the place, while they played violently with his collectibles from childhood. Some of these things were vintage. I could feel my heart beat faster, and my pulse quicken. This is why mothers arent allowed to look pretty. Theres no time!! One eye off the kids for 20 measley minutes and look what happens. How does one break the news to her husband? I feel slightly ill......

Just a girl who loves photography...

I have an obsession with taking pictures. I always have. I can remember as far back as age 3 with actual significant memories, thanks to pictures in my albums. I think its important to document anything and everything...they have served as my journal before discovering blogs. The past few years i've fallen into not just documenting things thru pictures, but actually posing people and myself, and trying to create looks, atmospheres, and recreate genres and past decades. Its been an amazing journey and I have so many wonderful pictures to show for it. My sisters and friends have also gotten in on such things, and we all do photoshoots together once a month or so. Its a fairly new thing with us, so I dont have any pictures just yet to show you, but as soon as the Valentines pics get done, I will post it. My newest idea, that im colaborating on with Sara and Hans, is a retro style Dragster car shoot. Its going to look super sweet, and I cant hardly contain myself! Hans has the connections and photography skills to help us get it done right, and I have the wardrobe and accessories to make sure we are in style. Wish us luck! I cant wait to post the finished product!

ADDICTED!!

Since Jason chooses to take up his nights playing World of Warcraft, and there have been all reruns on tv (thanks to the writers strike), I have become heavily addicted to watching Turner Classic Movies! I have grown increasingly more into the 30's, 40's, and 50's by doing so..and love every minute of it! I find myself watching their manurisms, how they do their hair, makeup, and dress...I have to say that im fascinated by them, and bored to death of my own decade. Back then, people were chivalrous, there was no vulgarity, and everyone cared to look neat and tidy (never a hair out of place)..They respected their peers as well as the elders, and nothing was ever done without a tie! Their gowns were always gorgeous, and enunciations were just as important as wearing socks..Its an amazing time period, unlike the slovenly looks of today, (I being amongst the rather slovenly.) Granted the cigarettes were something I could do completely without..Otherwise it was a grand time to live in. In watching these movies, ive discovered some things clever..There is always heavy cigarrette smoke exchanges.. always getting close to a persons face to blow smoke! There is always stiff romantic movements with searing violin music dramatically playing in the background..and the movies always end at the most inopportune moments, leaving us with zero closure. I am now addicted. One of my favorite movies is called Four Daughters. I only caught the middle to end of it, but it had me mesmerized..I wish to death I could see it but its not on DVD! Grr! I also hear there is a sequel to it called Four Wives, which I am dying to see. Maybe some day that time will come..until then, I plan to set up camp in my living room and stalk Robert Osborne. :0P
