I got a giggly phone call from my mother yesterday evening, stating that I was never going to believe what happened to her that day. On her way to church (they live in Huntington Beach California and walk to church in the sunshine everyweek,) she managed to step on a pine cone, which forced her to slip hard into a water puddle collecting near the curb. She landed right on her arm. She was covered from head to toe in dirty water, nursing a hurt arm, and a bruised ego. They walked back home. Dad told her to get on their luxury bed and take a rest for a while before they braved the long waits of the emergency room. So she attempted to climb onto their bed (which you almost need a stool to get on,) and just as she bounced on the bed, she promptly bounced back off again, landing on the floor. To which dad replied "Oh come on!" LOL..I'm beginning to see where Missy gets the clumsiness!.Well her arm didnt feel better after a while, so they took the journey to the hospital. She had indeed broken it, and is now sporting a fabulous cast from elbow to finger tip.
